Grammar: Conditional type I,II and III
  

 

Conditional Type I:

we use the conditional type I to talk about events that may happen in the present or the future.Its form is:

If+Subject + verb(simple present) + subject + Will+ Verb

 for example:

If I meet him, I will invite him to the party.

If I find a job, I will buy a car.

 

 

 

 

Conditional Type II:

We use the conditional type II to talk about events that can't happen in the present or future. Its form is:

If + Subject + Verb(simple past) + Subject + Would + verb

 Examples:

If I were a player, I would be rich.

If I drove carefully, the accident would not happen.

Conditional Type III:

The conditional type III is used to speak about events which is impossible that they happen in the past (can also be used to express regret). Its form is:

If + Subject + Verb(past perfect) + Subject + Would + have + Past participle

Examples:

If your father had been rich, you would have bought a beautiful house.

If Germany had played better, It would have won the world cup.
